Standard open-ended mutual funds don’t trade on exchanges during the day and therefore have no fluctuating CMP. They use Net Asset Value – NAV – calculated once daily after market close. Exchange Traded Funds, however, trade exactly like stocks and carry a live, continuously updated CMP throughout market hours.
