Benjamin Graham’s revised formula is one of the more accessible starting points: V = EPS × (8.5 + 1.5g) × 4.4 ÷ Y, where EPS is Earnings Per Share, g is the expected annual growth rate, 4.4 is Graham’s baseline bond yield benchmark, and Y is the current corporate bond yield. Note that Graham revised the growth multiplier from 2g to 1.5g in later editions of his work precisely because the original version generated overly inflated valuations – use the corrected 1.5g version. It’s less precise than a full DCF but useful for quick screening and initial filtering.
