Cyient Semiconductors has qualified for a key contract in the ₹4,500-crore Semi-Conductor Laboratory modernization project in Mohali. The project is part of India Semiconductor Mission to boost domestic capabilities.
The company will supply and qualify technology IPs, including design enablement, for the upgraded fab. Cyient Semiconductors will provide three process technologies: RF-CMOS, BCD (HV LDMOS), and CMOS Image Sensor (CIS).
These technologies support industrial, automotive, energy, sensing, and connectivity applications. Cyient’s work will strengthen India’s mature-node semiconductor capability and contribute to reduced import reliance and accessible fabrication for startups and academia.
